Why My Bracelets Are Different

A pearl bracelet may look simple when it's finished.

A row of pearls.
A clasp.
A few details brought together.

What you don't see are the decisions behind it.

The pearls that were chosen.
The ones that weren't.
The knots tied by hand.
The details that most people will never notice, but that make a difference every time the bracelet is worn.

The finished bracelet is only the part you see.

It Starts With the Pearls

Every bracelet begins with a strand of freshwater pearls.

I choose pearls for their lustre first.

Lustre is the soft glow that makes a pearl come alive when it catches the light. It's what gives pearls their depth and character.

No two pearls are exactly alike. Each one has its own shape, surface, and personality.

Not every pearl makes it into a bracelet.

Sometimes a pearl is slightly brighter. Sometimes it sits better with the others. Sometimes it simply belongs somewhere else.

Those decisions are part of the making.

Hand-Knotted on Silk

Every bracelet is hand-knotted on pearl silk.

A knot is tied between each pearl, one at a time.

This traditional technique allows the bracelet to drape comfortably around the wrist and helps protect the pearls from rubbing against one another.

The finished bracelet may look effortless.

The process is anything but.

The French Coil Detail

One of the smallest details on a bracelet is also one of the most important.

At each end of the bracelet, a French coil is used to protect the silk where it meets the clasp.

It strengthens one of the areas that experiences the most wear while creating a clean, finished look.

Most people will never notice it.

I do.

A Clasp Designed for Real Life

One of the most common complaints I hear about jewellery is simple:

The clasp is too difficult to do up yourself.

The clasp I use was chosen because it solves that problem.

It's easy to open and close with one hand, secure for everyday wear, and designed to allow charms to hang beautifully when added.

Putting on your bracelet shouldn't turn into a wrestling match.

Sized for Your Wrist

No two wrists are exactly the same.

That's why every bracelet is made to the size you request.

A bracelet should feel comfortable from the moment you put it on.

Not too tight.
Not constantly sliding.

Just right.

Custom sizing is one of the simplest ways to make a bracelet feel like it truly belongs to you.

Made to Be Worn

I believe jewellery is meant to be worn every day.

Not hidden away in a drawer.

Or saved for Sundays.

Pearls are meant to collect memories.

Over time, the silk may eventually need replacing. The silver may develop character. The bracelet becomes part of your story.

That's how pearl jewellery has always been meant to be worn.

When your bracelet needs a little care, our restringing and repair service helps you continue wearing the pieces that hold your memories.

The Pearl Bench Difference

The Pearl Bench is built on small details.

The pearls.
The silk.
The knots.
The clasp.
The fit.

None of them are dramatic on their own.

Together, they create a bracelet designed to be worn, enjoyed, cared for, and kept for years to come.
